"Saving Face" - Protect Your IP on Facebook

Facebook has launched personalised URLs for its users. This mean instead of using a profile ID the user can make use of a customized URL (www.facebook.com/trademark).

Facebook gave IP owners about four days to block the registration of their trade marks as part of a Facebook URL. The notice period was short but not the end of the road for IP owners, who still have the opportunity to object to the use of their trade mark via the following link http://www.facebook.com/copyright.php?noncopyright_notice=1.
