Foreign Language Versions of .ORG Launched

.org is the extension used by not-for-profit orgnanizations to promote their goods and services but has also evolved to become an alternative for .com as an abbreviation for the commercial term organisation.

There are no restrictions to register a .org domain name.

On 22 April 2014 the .org family grows to include three new foreign language extensions (Internationalized Domain Name (IDN)) listed below. It is now possible to speak the same language as your audience.

.संगठन (.org in Hindi)

.संगठन will help organisations and individuals to promote their causes in native Devanagari script and make it easier to share information about their efforts in Hindi-speaking markets.

Nearly 497 million people speak Hindi as a first language and around 120 million as a second language.
